hi, my name is jp.
I'm an artist/graphic designer from the Toronto area who started shooting at the end of 2016. Although I picked up a camera fairly recently, I've been a huge fan of photography (and all of the visual arts) for as long as I can remember...I often wish I took it up sooner.

With that being said, it hasn't been easy in the slightest and has actually been a scary process. It’s crazy expensive, extremely technical, and the uber-competitive nature of it all can make even the most avid creative put their camera down to capture nothing but dust.

But I've stuck with it thus far, and overall pretty happy with the progress I've made. I constantly obsess on improving as much as I possibly can and don't see myself selling off my gear anytime soon. I can never back down from doing what I love, and I hope I can somehow influence people to do the same.
My gear
I try to avoid gear discussions (for the most part), but since I hear the question pretty often: I shoot on Olympus OMDs with lenses ranging from their pro zoom line to a handful of their trusty little primes.

If you're interested in learning more, you can read more about why I chose Olympus and the Micro Four Thirds format in a future blog entry.
